The Central Piedmont Safety Council is sponsored by the Safety Section of the North Carolina Industrial Commission. It is one of eight regional safety councils within the state and includes Cabarrus, Davie, Davidson, Forsyth, Guilford, Iredell, Randolph, Rockingham, Rowan, Stokes, Surry, and Yadkin counties. The objective of CPSC is to promote safety at work, home, and in public places, with special emphasis on workplace safety. It operates as an independent, non-commercial, non-political organization.
The Central Piedmont Safety Council conducts safety workshops and educational programs for local employers throughout the year, providing information about safety and health topics. CPSC educational opportunities are often at a reduced rate or free for council members. In addition to providing learning opportunities for its members, attendance at Council events provides an excellent opportunity to meet and network with other individuals who also have an interest in workplace safety and health.
Membership in Central Piedmont Safety Council is $35/individual or $50/company per calendar year. One company membership covers all employees in the company. For CPSC workshops that are free to members, companies may send multiple employees at no charge under the company membership. To view and print the CPSC brochure with a membership form, click here. Complete the membership form and check for the membership fee made payable to Central Piedmont Safety Council. Mail membership form and check to Jennie Maness, CPSC Treasurer, Post Office Box 2068, Jamestown, NC 27282.
